You Got the Blues?

Here are some clues on some blues,
Blues for every space in your garden.
You like blue?
These are for you!

Love in a Mist (Nigella)

Misty blue flowers,
Leaves finely laced, spidery,
And a seed-pod to imagine
That dries to a hollow,
wild egg of a pod!

Blue Flax (Rocky Mountain Flax)

Perennial wild flower,
Sky blue blossoms, all summer.
A profusion of luminous,
ultra-marine flowers.
Get a patch going,
They brighten the morning,
with dew on their petals.

Bachelor Buttons (Cornflower)

Old-fashioned blooms,
Bunches of cut flowers.
Dry some too,
for winter blues.

Heavenly Blue Morning Glories (Trumpet flowers)

On a vine
Open all morning,
This prolific blooming,
Climbing Champion.
Trellis away!

Pacific Giant Delphiniums

Majestic eight feet tall,
even more.
Yard long plumes,
All shades of blue,
from pale to royal.
And the plume dries,
Upside down,
For year round blues!
